SAXONY, GERMANY – Despite the wet start, France maintain their stronghold on the top spot as the outright fastest nation in the event. Leading the FIM World Trophy competition, FIM Junior World Trophy class and the Women’s World Trophy classifications, there is little doubt that country will once again take the overall title.

In the FIM Women’s World Trophy competition, France look all but assured of victory with only two days of racing remaining. Again setting the fastest time of the day, France now lead Germany by almost one hour and forty minutes. After the fourth day of competition the battle for second place saw Germany move ahead of Australia. Clearly enjoying the muddier and more technical conditions that competitors faced on day four, Germany moved into second position, sixteen minutes ahead of their nearest rivals.

While Team Canada’s Victoria Hett moves ahead on place in the standings to ninth, teammate Almeda Rive (below) is eliminated. Conditions proved technical today and five more riders, including Rive were retired from the competition.
