After more than two months of ticket sales, the Kelowna & District Safety Council’s Harley Davidson Raffle is in the final stretch. The Father’s Day June 17th draw is fast-approaching and there are less than three weeks of ticket sales left.
“Ticket sales are going really well,” says Tania Meyer Executive Director. “Every year we get a lot of calls from people who like to wait to the last minute to get their lucky ticket. Unfortunately, many of them wait too long. We have less than 500 tickets left and they tend to sell quickly in the last couple of weeks, so we’re encouraging people to get their tickets now so they’re not disappointed.”
Prizes are a 2012 Harley Davidson ember red sunglow Switchback and a 30 hour Learn to Ride course from KDSC. The 1691cc bike has detachable windshield and saddlebags, six speed transmission, anti-lock brakes, and HD Smart security system. The total prize value is $22,789.60.
Only 3500 tickets are being sold, and ticket prices are $20 each or 3/$50. The winner will be announced at a public random draw on Father’s Day June 17th at 3pm at the Boyd’s Autobody Car Show at Kelowna City Park; the winner does not have to be present to claim the prizes.
As a fundraiser for KDSC, proceeds from this raffle will help support the Little Travellers’ Safety Village for kids. KDSC also offers driver and motorcycle training. “As a not-for-profit organization, we really rely on this raffle to make our programs possible, and people can help us achieve our goals for as little as $20….and they’ll have a chance at great prizes as well,” says Meyer.
Tickets can be purchased by calling KDSC at 250-765-3163 (Toll Free: 888-580-7233) or by visiting the KDSC office at 395 Hartman Road. The bike will be on display and volunteers will be on hand at various locations in Kelowna until the tickets sell out.
