SmartRisk and Kawasaki share message to grads

Kalamalka Secondary School students were treated to a world class motocross freestyle show today bringing with it the SmartRisk message.

Vernon’s own Reagan Seig shared his personal message with students. “I’ve been to Europe 37 times in the last 10 years, lived with Mike Metzger, and worked with Travis Pastrana” said Seig, a Canadian Kawasaki MX Freestyle rider, “making one stupid decision in my Grad year could have ruined that. Grade 12 is a big year, your parents ease up on you, all the parties…. you need to realize that stuff you do now effects the rest of your life!”

SmartRisk is a national charity dedicated to preventing injury and saving lives by focusing on youth and helping them see and manage risk. The SmartRisk message contains five components: Buckle Up; Look First; Wear the Gear; Get Trained and Drive Sober.

George Elliott Secondary Students in Lake Country will be treated to the same event courtesy of Kawasaki and Monster on Thursday, May 20 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
