During Arenacross at the South Okanagan Event Centre, freestyle rider Jeff Fehr, took to the track after performing some pretty spectacular ariels in a freestyle show. This part of the evening was a little different.  As I understood it, two racers at a time go as fast as they can and complete one lap. Winner advances, loser is out. Big cash prize at the end. Fehr races, gets nudged over by his opponent heading into the bend and has a serious crash and is injured. The extent of his injuries are not known but he is expected to make a full recovery.
